Dry Skin and Visible Signs of Ageing
Dry skin is caused by the inability of the surface layers of the skin to retain water.
Often very delicate and sensitive, prone to fine lines and wrinkles caused by dehydration; dry skin tends to be dull, flaky/chapped (visible peeling), uncomfortable and ‘tight’ especially in winter time.
Alcohol, harsh detergents and chemicals should be avoided as they make dry skin condition worse. Although silicones, mineral oils and petroleum jelly may temporarily improve dry skin condition, we recommend to avoid these ingredients too. Silicones, mineral oils and petroleum jelly block pores (comedogenic), preventing the skin to breathe properly.
